From Our Gardens
to Your Table
Step back in time in our grand dining room, where polished teak furniture and crisp white linens create the perfect setting for memorable meals. Our chef crafts a daily-changing menu featuring both international favorites and Sri Lankan specialties, with the freshest ingredients sourced just steps away from our kitchen.
Watch our gardeners harvest crisp lettuce, aromatic herbs, and seasonal vegetables each morning from our organic backyard gardens. This farm-to-table approach, combined with aromatic spices from local markets, ensures every dish bursts with authentic flavors. Don't miss our traditional high tea service, complete with freshly baked scones, Ceylon tea, and panoramic views of our productive gardens.

Lover's Leap Waterfall
Tucked within the lush landscapes of Pedro Tea Estate, just 3.5 km from Nuwara Eliya town, Lover's Leap Waterfall is one of the hill country's most romantic and storied natural attractions. Cascading gracefully from a height of 30 metres (98 feet), it is a modest yet enchanting waterfall made truly memorable by its legend and the sweeping views from above.
Moon Plains
Also known as Sandatenna, Moon Plains sits at 6,200 feet above sea level and offers one of Nuwara Eliya’s most spectacular vantage points. Once a former waste site, this remarkable highland plateau has been thoughtfully restored and reimagined as an Agricultural and Environmental Tourism Zone. Since its opening in 2014, it has become one of the region’s most compelling natural attractions.
Hakgala Botanical Garden
Nestled at the foot of the dramatic Hakgala Rock, at 5,500 feet above sea level, Hakgala Botanical Garden is Sri Lanka’s second-largest botanical garden and among the highest-altitude botanical gardens in the world. Spanning 28 hectares, it was established in 1861 as a cinchona plantation, later converted to tea cultivation, and ultimately transformed into a renowned ornamental garden by 1884.
Rich in both botanical and cultural significance, the gardens are also believed—according to Hindu legend—to be the site of Ashok Vatika, the pleasure garden described in the Ramayana, where King Ravana held Sita captive, adding a layer of mythology to its natural beauty.
Golf club - Nuwara Eliya
Experience the timeless charm of the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest golf courses, established in 1889. Surrounded by lush greenery and cool mountain air, the club offers a beautifully preserved colonial setting paired with a scenic and rewarding golfing experience.
Ramboda Waterfalls
Ramboda Falls is one of Sri Lanka's most spectacular natural landmarks, cascading in a dramatic Y-shaped twin formation from a height of 109 metres (358 feet). Located along the scenic Kandy–Nuwara Eliya road, it is the 11th tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka and one of the island's most photographed sights.
Seetha Amman Temple
Set beside a gently flowing mountain stream in the quiet village of Seetha Eliya, just 5 km from Nuwara Eliya, the Seetha Amman Temple is a place of deep spiritual resonance and quiet reverence. Widely believed to be the only temple in the world dedicated to Sita Devi, it stands as one of the most sacred sites along Sri Lanka's Ramayana Trail.
Lake Gregory
Discover the serene beauty of Lake Gregory , a historic reservoir created in 1873 by British Governor Sir William Gregory, set at the heart of Nuwara Eliya. Spanning over 90 hectares amidst misty hills and cool highland air, it remains one of the region’s most cherished leisure destinations.
Ambewela Farms
Set at 6,064 feet above sea level in the cool highland village of Ambewela—affectionately known as “Little New Zealand”—this expansive dairy farm is one of Sri Lanka’s most beloved agricultural landmarks. Spanning over 1,500 acres of rolling green pasture, the farms are home to thousands of pedigree Ayrshire and Friesian cattle, known for their impressive size and quality.
